The Blue Light

Every archive chooses what to keep.

Her pen called her in the dead of night.

For years it woke her from sleep.
The pages hid,
scattered between notebooks.

Then she discovered the blue light.
At first she remained in the shadows.

Watching.

Learning.

Building.

Until one day,
she decided to be seen.

She gathered the pages.

Worked day and night.

Learned to build a spider’s web.

Every thread connected.

Every word in its place.

The blue light flickered.

Satisfied,
she closed the screen
and stepped away.

When she returned,
the blue light was waiting.

She searched.

Nothing.

She searched again.

Nothing.

She had disappeared.

Only her pages
And stories remained
